The Media Technology Systems ION 4.4 is a CobraNet® ½ width 1U rack mount configuration with 4 analog mic/line inputs and 4 analog outputs. In addition, the chassis can be vertically mounted on a wall, riser or upside-down under a table. This mounting flexibility allows the installer to convert the analog audio to a LAN data stream in remote locations.
The remote mounting configuration enables conversion from analog audio as early as possible. This eliminates long lines of analog audio cable between the audio source and the nearest control room rack. The solution also eliminates complex rack patch bays, as patching can easily be achieved by changing the network address of each ION wall interface. This features also provides a simple room combining solution.
